Jonte Flowers

Owner/Elite Trainer

Flowers was a standout shooting guard during his time at Winona State University, where he led the Warriors to two NCAA Division II National Championships. Winning came naturally to Flowers during his college career, with the Warriors earning one NCAA Runner-up title, four consecutive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships, three NSIC Tournament Championships, and three North Central Regional Championships. They also set an impressive NCAA Division II record by winning 57 consecutive games. Flowers' individual accomplishments are equally impressive, as he was named to numerous All-American and All-Conference teams, Co-North Central Region Player of the Year, and Most Outstanding Player of the Elite Eight while leading his team to the 2008 National Championship. His list of individual accolades is just as impressive as his team's trophy collection. Coach Flowers is renowned for his skills on both ends of the court, earning him the title of "king of thieves" at the Division II level. His impressive 414 steals made him the all-time leader in steals at the NCAA Division II level and second all-time for any NCAA competition level. He also holds the unique distinction of being the only player in NSIC history to receive the Defensive Player of the Year award for four consecutive years. Flowers' impressive contributions to Winona State's basketball program are evident from his name appearing all over the team's record book. He finished in the top 10 in several statistical categories, including points (ranking #5), rebounds (#6), assists (#6), blocks (#4), and steals (ranking #1). After completing his successful college career, Coach Flowers received an invitation to the highly regarded Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. His invitation was a remarkable achievement since he was the only Division II player selected to participate in this prestigious event that showcases the top senior players from across the country. Flowers' impressive performance at the tournament led to invitations for pre-draft workouts with both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons. Although he went undrafted, he secured a spot on the Pistons' 2008 NBA Summer League Team. Flowers' professional basketball career took him to several countries, including Sweden, France, Finland, Romania, Italy, Lithuania, and Poland, spanning over 11 years. During this time, he helped his team reach the Finals four times, earning two championship titles. Flowers also received accolades for his individual performances, including Player of the Year awards in Romania and Sweden and Defensive Player of the Year awards in both countries.
